About the Nanometer Structure Consortium
Founded in 1988, The Nanometer Structure Consortium (nmC) is Sweden’s largest research environment for nanoscience.
The nmC brings together about 250 staff members from the engineering, natural sciences and medical faculties with the common goal to push back the frontiers of nanoscience and to address important scientific and societal challenges, such as those related to energy, health and the environment.
Our current focus is on semiconductor nanowires. We study their materials science, develop advanced processing techniques and pursue applications in physics, chemistry optoelectronics and the life sciences.
